Informix Database Administrator- Malaga

They are currently looking for an Informix Database Administrator (DBA) to join their Network and Systems Administration team. They need someone with solid relational database knowledge as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of their 24x7 mission-critical database servers.

Responsibilities:

. Work with their software developers to develop and maintain code objects (e.g., stored procedures, functions, triggers, views)

. Work as part of a global DBA team to administer mission-critical production database servers

. Performing data migrations

. Database backup and recovery

. Troubleshooting of database issues

. Monitoring of database usage and tuning systems to optimize performance

. Maintaining database security



Requirements:



. 3+ years working experience with Informix database systems

. 5+ years DBA experience in a Linux/Unix environment, including knowledge and comfort with command line and shell scripts

. 5+ years experience writing SQL and shell scripts

. Experience with database backup and recovery

. Experience with SQL optimization and database tuning

. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team

environment

. Must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.

. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and

Experience

. Experience with DB2 is essential

. MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server is an asset.
