Regulatory Support Lawyer

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Regulatory Support Lawyer with a keen interest in the internet, to assist the company regulatory function.

Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel responsible for researching (both independently and through instructing external counsel), interpreting, collating, updating and reporting the know how for the regulatory affairs function. You will work as part of a small Legal team providing support to the business on the offering and advertising of gambling in a wide variety of jurisdictions.

Detailed Description

• Conducting research into the regulatory restrictions imposed by a wide portfolio of legal jurisdictions
• Reviewing new product and territorial expansion opportunities
• Keeping abreast of any changes in the regulatory regime in the jurisdictions where business is already conducted
• Assisting with corporate strategy and legal arguments with regard to challenges against unlawful gaming legislation and monopolies
• Helping to keep key-stakeholders within the business up-to-date on legal developments in the various jurisdictions which are important to the group

Job Requirements

• Willingness to expand your expertise into new fields and new jurisdictions, and able to handle a steep learning curve
• Experience of working in a legal function in a regulated industry is required.
• Ability to speak more than one language is preferable
• Good drafting skills with a strong will to develop these further
• Ideally, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, at home working with a committed team to diverse goals.
